Request account deletion
Email your request to our support address:
Email an account-deletion requestIf the button does not open an email app, send an email directly to speechanddebatetimer@gmail.com with the subject “Speech & Debate Timer account deletion request.”
What to include
Include the email address associated with your account and say that you want your account and saved preferences deleted. If possible, send the request from that email address. Do not send your password, verification codes, payment details, or identity documents in the initial email.
We may need to verify account ownership before processing the request. Support will explain any verification steps and confirm the result. This is a support request, not an instant deletion button.
What is deleted
- Your shared Speech & Debate Timer website and mobile account, including the account held by our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Account-linked saved timer preferences.
- Any website ad-removal entitlement associated with that account. The mobile app has no paid ad removal.
Deletion is permanent and affects both the website and mobile app. You can continue to use the mobile timers as a guest afterward.
What may remain
Settings stored only on your device are not removed by deleting an online account. To remove local settings, clear the app’s storage in your device settings. Deleting the app alone does not delete an online account.
Records providers must retain for legal compliance, security, or fraud prevention may remain for those purposes. Records of any separate website payments may remain with payment providers as legally required. Ask support for the reason and retention period if an exception applies to your request.
Delete directly in the app
If you still have the mobile app, open Account, sign in, select “Delete account,” and complete the confirmation. This is an alternative to emailing support, not a requirement for using this page.
